Presents! This first image is of a cute, hand-made moleskin notebook that has not been claimed as a present by anyone as yet. (I'm assuming a certain M. Pop sent it, but I can't be sure as yet.) Earlier today my mother's present arrived: a Canon EF 50mm F1.8 lens. I'm already loving it, although the depth of field when stopped down to F1.8 is so narrow you can't really have anything in the foreground. (Unless, of course, that's the effect you're going for.) It behaves totally unlike the kit glass (in no small part due to the image stabilization I've been enjoying), so it's going to take some time to get used to it. I really need to go on a picture crawl, but don't have the time.
