I got my laptop back yesterday. Strangely, they gave it back to me with a totally blank hard drive. It's not that it had no OS on it, which I kind of expected, but that it wasn't even partitioned. Unlike the Windows XP installer, OS X's doesn't partition the drive for you automatically. So for the last, oh, fifteen minutes, I was just kind of staring blankly at different windows until I found a setting that worked.

It's so funny... on a PC I can repartition a series of drives in my sleep.
